I’m a rabbi, teacher, and community builder based in Berkeley, California passionate about helping Jews connect to deeper and more joyful expressions of Jewish life through learning, prayer, relationships, and the ongoing work of making meaning together.
The early years of my rabbinate have been shaped by working with college students and young adults; people standing at a moment of profound exploration and becoming against the backdrop of turbulent times for the Jewish people. I have accompanied them as they wrestle with identity, purpose, faith, and responsibility, offering spaces for conversation as well as Jewish rituals that hold moments of both joy and pain.
I love teaching Torah in ways that are rigorous, creative, and accessible. I especially enjoy leading participatory, song-filled traditional prayer. I am also drawn to the quiet, sacred work of pastoral care—listening deeply, marking life’s transitions, and helping people uncover Jewish language and ritual for the moments that shape us most.
At the center of my rabbinate is integration—bringing together the scholarly and the embodied, the ancient and the newly discovered, the personal and the communal. I strive to model a Judaism that is alive, inclusive, and transformative: a Judaism that sings across generations, refuses to look away from the world’s pain, and helps us live with more courage, hope, and wholeness.
